Hi! Thanks for your nice compliments about my Lace Reader review. As far as timing with galleys, I usually tag them in my LT library with the release month, and then just try to read things around when they’re coming out, or even just after. I’m not perfect about it but it’s the goal. Anyway with The White Mary, I just dove right in the day I got it, because it just really grabbed me. I’m sure the publisher of The White Mary isn’t surprised that more people haven’t read it yet- he knows that we all have other commitments, other books, etc., but the only thing that surprised me about the email was that it was only the first one like that that I’ve received. As I’ve said (and others have too) they give them to us because they expect /want feedback, so whaddayagonnado? 🙂
tracking the release date is a great tool, thanks for the tip!
Oh, yes, I didn’t mind the reminder at all (just rearranging my pile and confirming priorities). A little while back there were postings on LTER from people who got The Spirit of the Place and didn’t remember getting it. If LVF or BN had sent out email reminders about the online Book Explorers discussion there probably would have been more dialogue on the boards. We can all use a little reminder now and then!
